Buses are a brilliant option for travelling around the area during your stay. They produce fewer emissions per person than a car does, and they’re a great opportunity to see more of the local area.
Whitby has great bus routes to surrounding areas including villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast.
Hop on the Arriva X4A route which travels from Whitby to Middlesbrough bus station with stops in Hinderwell, Runswick Bay, Port Mulgrave and Sandsend.
Whitby rail station is located along Bagdale and towards Victoria Square (YO21 1BH). There are routes to Newcastle, Darlington, Ruswarp, Egton Grosmont and Glaisdale.
